There’s a lot to love about this collection of poems. Kaur takes us on her healing journey, from her deepest trauma to the joy of self acceptance.

There will be something in here for every woman, as Kaur surfaces and then smashes those timeless gifts of the patriarchy: shame and low self worth. Her warrior-like rage, compassion and self belief is infectious (even if the latter is sometimes slightly too pronounced for my self-effacing British sensibility).
