An eye-opening account of just how misogynist Korean society is.
I won’t give away the device that ties the whole book together, but it’s cleverly done. However, I felt slightly duped into reading what is, in fact, on the whole thinly veiled non fiction.
Nonetheless, I’d still recommend it — because all women will identify with at least some of Jiyoung’s experiences. And that’s the real power of the book.
